My Background

I was born and grew up with my family in Udon Thani, a town in north eastern Thailand. I came to England just over 10 years ago. During my first few years in Coventry I studied various courses at college to improve my english and general skills. In 1999 I became interested in Complementary Healthcare and thereafter decided to develop my career in this direction.

My Training

I suppose this really started when as a 12 year child my father would ask me to stand on his back to help relieve his pain. My professional training began in 1999 when I undertook a Foundation Reflexology course at a Coventry community college.This was soon followed by

an introductory course in Indian Head Massage. It was after both these courses that my interest in Complementary Healthcare grew which led to the study of Swedish Massage (IIHT) at Coventry Technical College.

Next I wished to add Traditional Thai Massage and because I am Thai I thought this would be best undertaken in my home country. During 2001 I undertook training at The Wat Po Traditional Medical School, Bangkok where I obtained the following certificates:

• Traditional Thai Massage
• Advanced Thai Medical Massage Therapy
• Traditional Thai Foot Massage

In May 2003 I was awarded a diploma in Indian Head Massage from The Carlton Institute of Beauty Therapy, London.

As a member of the International Guild of Professional Practioners (IGPP) I am kept up to date by their newsletters which also informs me of training courses.
